Blind Desire is part of a trilogy of books published for the left-perimeter of the exhibit Messages and Communications at the Mattress factory Museum in Pittsburgh.  Jeff Thomson sidtracted the politics and made a direct path to the sensuous.  With touch being so much part of personal passions Blind Desire is bilingually printed in English and Braille.

The text was set in Bembo and transferred onto polymer plates by Boxcar Press. The text paper was Somerset Book and letterpress printed on a Vandercook proofing press. The book is quarter bound with Iris rayon and Hewit bookcalf. The photographs were printed on Concorde Rag with pigmented inks. The photographs were Braille embossed using plates made by the American Printing House for the Blind. The book was digitally printed, letterpress printed and bound by the photographer in an edition limited to 50 copies in September 2005.
