Great effort is taken to transform the photographer’s original intent through the various stages of printmaking. An Imacon scanner scans the original film. The scanned images are tweaked then proofed and printed on an Epson 9600 or Epson 4000 via a Color Byte RIP, using archival-pigmented inks. Specially coated 100% cotton paper, like Hahnemühle Photo Rag, is imposed and printed in either half or full signature sheets. A protective lacquer coats the printed sheet before the sheets are scored and trimmed.
